Summer of Play at Lyme

Summer of play is coming back to Lyme and is jam-packed with ways to play together with more than enough space to try it all.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

18 July - 7 September

Experience Summer of Play with a host of imaginative and hands-on activities all over Lyme. Every day this summer the stories of Lyme will come to life through the world of play.

In the house: Recreate Thomas Legh’s travels through Egypt with shadow puppets, brave crocodile-infested waters and camp under the shadows of the pyramids.

In the Garden: experience the locations of Pride & Prejudice through the eyes of a child. Visit one of Meryton’s shops on the West Terrace, get creative at the outdoor weaving stations, hop and jump along the obstacle course, perform on stage, or dance at the Netherfield Ball on the Top Lawn.

At the Mill Pond (Thursdays only): make a splash and discover our moorland through games and interactive activities.

At the Boiler House: Attend the Riverlands Silent Pond Disco, curl up with a book in the nature reading corner and play nature-themed board games.

Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank.
