Access

  • Designated parking spaces available for disabled visitors in main car park
  • Gardens have hard gravel paths, some steep slopes, undulating terrain and steps
  • Suggested level access map around gardens available from information centre
  • Accessible toilets in Gas Yard (off main car park), Doll's House and next to Orangery
  • A volunteer-driven shuttle bus operates at regular intervals between the main car park, gardens and Orangery
  • Five manual wheelchairs available to borrow from the information centre (pre-bookable on 01628 605 069)
  • Sensory attraction - fragrant plants in the gardens
  • Orangery, Dovecote and Shop - level access
  • Guided house tours (April - October on Thursdays and Sundays) - level entrance with five internal steps part way through tour

Dog walking

The woodlands cover over 200 acres and have miles of walks for you to explore with your dog.

To help us look after the gardens, dogs are not permitted. Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the estate and in our cafés.

Filming and photos

The gardens and woods are available for hire for photography and filming.
