Pokémon joins Cliveden’s Summer of Play
Planning your summer holidays? Discover a Summer of Play supported by Pokémon. This summer, your favourite Pokémon just got closer. From 18 July – 6 September, Summer of Play means you can share the magic of Pokémon as a family.

Ready to unleash your energy? On top of an already jam-packed Summer of Play, discover all-new Pokémon zones. Get stuck into Pokémon Go, take part in mega games, flex your skills and collect stickers!
This summer at Cliveden, discover a world of play your way. Race through obstacle challenges, step into the spotlight on the performance stage, or let your creativity run free. Burn off energy in the active play zone, unwind in the nature zone, and enjoy plenty of opportunities to explore, imagine and create. There are also lots of places to pause for a picnic, enjoy a gentle stroll, or venture further on a woodland walk. Discover Pokémon zones in participating locations. Don’t forget your imagination ...
Storytelling sessions will run on Tuesdays (starting 21 July) in the Water Garden from 11:00am – 12:00pm and 14:00pm – 15:00pm.
Crafting sessions will run on Wednesdays (starting 22 July) in the Doll’s House from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Voluntary £2.00 donation. Planned activities include paper headband/crown making, paper kite making and make-your-own bunting.
Planting / gardening sessions will run on Thursdays (starting 23 July) in the Water Garden from 10:30am – 12:30pm. Planned activities include planting seeds to take home in a biodegradable cup.
All sessions are subject to volunteer availability.

- Accessibility
The paths to access Summer of Play are step free, however there are hard paths, with some uneven surfaces, and gentle changes in terrain. Accessible map available from the Information Centre. Part of the route is on the seasonal overflow which is a ten minute walk from the Walled Garden car park. The seasonal overflow is on a sloped field with uneven surfaces.
- Meeting point
If you park in the overflow by the main gate, collect your map from the Welcome team. If you park in the Walled Garden, head to the Information Centre. Directional signage will be in place.

Cliveden is an outdoor property, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Other
Summer of Play maps will be available to collect on the day. Normal admission also applies (free for National Trust members). There is a shuttle bus available for visitors with accessible needs, just ask a welcomer on arrival.

Chatter & Natter Café
Head to the Conservatory café at Cliveden and join a ‘Natter & Chatter’ session from 10am – 12pm. Open to all visitor (standard admission applies).
Garden tours at Cliveden
Step into the quieter corners of the gardens on a relaxed, gardener led tour running throughout the season from 2 April – 24 September, every Thursday at 2pm. Please note: The garden tours on Thursday 9 July will be at 10:30am.

Make the most of long summer evenings at Cliveden, whether you’re out for a twilight walk, gliding along the river on a boat or listening to live a music performance whilst you soak up the atmosphere as the sun begins to set.
