Gift shop and plant centre

Located in the Walled Garden car park, the gift shop and plant centre offer gifts and gadgets for the home and garden and books and toys aplenty. Find the perfect gift for someone special or even a well-deserved treat for yourself.

The fruity jams, tasty curds and crunchy biscuits are all locally sourced, UK-made and completely moreish. So if you’re looking for food and drink gifts, or just something delicious for your own table, there should be something to tempt your taste buds.

The outdoor range continues to flourish throughout the seasons with colourful rugs for picnics, recycled and sustainable coffee cups, water bottles and everything you might need for enjoying the grounds.

Take a bit of Cliveden home with you and add colour to your garden with a range of seasonal and herbaceous plants from the Cliveden Plant Centre, all grown in peat-free soil for your peace of mind.

Barrington Loines art

National Trust artist Barrington Loines has created a series of striking paintings of views around the Cliveden estate. The Shop is selling the remaining original oil paintings, hand-embellished limited edition prints and a selection of A4 open prints and greetings cards of the original designs.

Weighbridge second-hand bookshop

Nestled inside Cliveden's Gas Yard next to the Walled Garden, this quaint but substantial bookshop offers a wide range of pre-loved books, as well as some special, collectors' titles, kindly donated by you.

Books have been generously donated from far and wide, by visitors, volunteers and staff. From behind the scenes sorting to working the shop floor, we wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of enthusiastic volunteers.

Stuck for birthday gift ideas? Why not pick up a gift-wrapped 'blind date with a book'? Each book is preloved, and is selected and wrapped by the bookshop volunteers, with a tag to tell you the book's genre. There are choices to please even the most voracious bookworm so pop in and have a look.

Donating your books to Cliveden

We are very happy to accept book donations, especially good quality children’s books. However we kindly ask that you don't bring in more than two bags/boxes at a time.

High value books

We stock a range of rare, old and high value books. Please ask in the Shop if you would like to see these titles and a team member will be happy to help.

Weighbridge pop-up stall

Keep your eyes peeled for our monthly Weighbridge pop-up stall, selling books on a different theme each time. Check Cliveden's social media pages on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
