Enjoy crunching through the leaves in the woodlands

Autumn rambles

Explore our gardens and woodlands this autumn following one of our four self guided walking trails.

There are three woodland trails as well as our 'Cliveden views' route around the gardens, highlighting some of the best views on offer. All of our trails are available to download before setting out.

Explore the river

Explore one of the prettiest stretches of the Thames onboard our boats

Cliveden Reach is one of the prettiest spots on the Thames. You can explore the river on one of our scheduled cruises or take to the waters on our self hire boats.

Our boats operate at weekends until Sunday 26 October, as well as on Thursdays in September (subject to river conditions).

Thames cruises

Join our knowledgeable skippers for a circular cruise between Boulters and Cookham locks.

Our 40 minute guided trip (£9.50pp) is perfect for a taste of life on the Thames or you can discover the sights with a game of I-spy on our family cruise (adult £10, child £5).

Self hire boats

Explore the River Thames at your own pace with one of our rowing or self-drive motor boats.

Boats are available to hire at weekends until Sunday 26 October.

No booking is required, just visit the boat station when you visit.

What's on

We've got lots of activities planned such as seasonal family trails and free guided garden tours at 2pm every Tuesday in October.

There's also a varied programme of events to look forward to including Apple Days, a spooky Hallowe'en trail and exclusive House Tours.

Getting to the river

Walking to the river from the main car park takes approximately 30 minutes and includes 172 steps.

Alternatively boat trip ticket holders can now take a ride on our free boat bus. Run on a first come first served basis, priority is given to those less able to walk to the river.

Canoe trail

This six mile circular paddle will take you along a stretch of Cliveden Reach from Boulters to Cookham locks.

Why not stop to explore our gardens along the way? The mooring fee (£8/24 hours) does not apply providing your canoe is kept on the riverbank. Normal admission prices apply.
