Heritage Open Days 2026 at Cliveden
Discover a new side of Cliveden through a series of special walks, talks and tours. We're open for everyone to visit for free Monday 14 – Friday 18 September as part of Heritage Open Days. Why not join a talk or guided tour to get to know us?

This year’s theme for Heritage Open Days is ‘Everyday Histories’. A variety of different tours will be running throughout the week.
Tickets for the Hidden Cliveden Tour, History Walk and Garden Tour are available from the Information Centre on a first come first served basis (12 people max per tour). The Collections & Conservation activity is a drop-in session and will be taking place in the Water Garden.
For the Photo Walk and the Heritage Tree Walk, please email: clivedenwalks@nationaltrust.org.uk to secure your place in advance (12 people max per tour). All tours are provided by our dedicated volunteers and subject to volunteer availability.
Please note: No House Tours will be running as part of Heritage Open Days.

Times
The basics
- Accessibility
Gardens have hard gravel paths, some steep slopes, undulating terrain and steps. Map of suggested level access routes around the gardens is available from the Information Centre.
- Meeting point
Meet at the Information Centre to collect your tour ticket. Tickets are on a first come first, first serve basis.
- What to bring and wear
Cliveden is an outdoor property so please dress appropriately for the weather.
- Other
This event is free and booking is not required. Manual wheelchairs, all-terrain wheelchair (manual) and pushchairs are available to borrow, please email cliveden@nationaltrust.org.uk or call 01628 605069 in advance to reserve. Our shuttle bus service is available on request for accessible needs only (subject to volunteer availability). Hearing loops are installed at every fixed till point. Dogs are welcome in many areas of the Cliveden Estate. There is a dog map available to pick up on arrival, which will show you the on-lead and off-lead areas.

Garden tours at Cliveden
Step into the quieter corners of the gardens on a relaxed, gardener led tour running throughout the season from 2 April – 24 September, every Thursday at 2pm. Please note: The garden tour on Thursday 13 August will be at 10:30am.
Chatter & Natter Café
Head to the Conservatory café at Cliveden and join a ‘Natter & Chatter’ session from 10am – 12pm. Open to all visitor (standard admission applies).
