Cliveden house visits

From 2 March to 29 October 2026 step beyond the ordinary into a world once walked by royalty, visionaries, and the great minds who shaped history, on one of our guided House visits.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

Cliveden House is currently leased as a luxury country hotel and generally not open to National Trust Visitors. Guided by our passionate volunteers, you'll journey through the ground floor as the house's glittering past comes alive around you. Hear the captivating tales of the illustrious Astor dynasty as you step into the very rooms where distinguished visitors were once welcomed and entertained. It's not just a tour - it's your invitation to experience the glamour, intrigue, and legacy of a truly extraordinary home.

House visit tickets are available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 March to 28 October 2026.

Entry to the house is by ticket only, which must be collected on the day from the Information Centre on arrival. We recommend collecting your ticket as soon as you arrive, as places on guided tours are limited.

Guided house visits run every 10 minutes from 11am to 12.30pm, subject to guide availability. Tickets are included in the standard admission price, although donations to support our work are always welcome at the Information Centre.

House visits will not take place on 14, 15 and 17 September or from 5 to 15 October 2026 due to a hotel event. Photography and video recording are not permitted inside the house.
