Everyone needs nature appeal

Our natural world is under threat, and more than ever before it needs your help. By giving as little as £5 you can give back to the natural world we all take comfort in

Nature needs you more than ever before

Thanks to supporters like you, we look after many precious landscapes. But much of it is under threat from climate change, which is erasing the beauty of the natural world we know and love.

As a charity, we’ve lost around £200 million due to the effects of the coronavirus crisis. We've had to pause some of our vital projects to restore nature, putting the health of the natural world at risk. Everyone needs nature, and nature needs you now more than ever.

Blossom 2021

This year, we'll be coming together to celebrate the arrival of spring and the blossom season. We've got a host of nature-inspired activities planned at our places and new and exciting ways to get involved wherever you are. Like last year, we'll also be asking you to join in with #BlossomWatch and share your experiences on social media. And you can get involved now, helping nature and spring blossom to flourish, by donating to our Everyone needs nature appeal or dedicating a tree.

  • On average, since 1970 26% of mammals have disappeared
  • In the last decade 72% of our butterflies have disappeared
  • Since the 1950s 50% of native ancient woodland has disappeared
" As a charity we appreciate your support now more than ever in these difficult times. Over the past few months it’s become clear just how much we all need fresh air, open space and beauty. Your donation today will help look after all our special places for everyone, for ever."

How nature helps us

Thank you

Your donation will make a difference

Thank you for supporting our Everyone needs nature appeal. Together we can create meadows, replenish woodland, grow new habitats and green spaces and encourage nature to flourish.

Why give to the National Trust?

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters to look after the outdoor spaces in our care. Not only do our supporters help to conserve beautiful landscapes and protect precious plants and wildlife. But they also ensure that future generations have places they can find freedom from everyday life, reconnect with the natural world and make memories to treasure. Your donation will go towards this project and other vital conservation work in the outdoors at this special place. With your support, we can continue to protect the irreplaceable. For everyone, for ever.
