What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points. Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission or
  • Standard admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you the Gift Aid Admission prices. But it's entirely up to you which ticket you choose. If you want the Standard Admission instead, just let us know when you come to pay.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid* — an extra 25 per cent — potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below: Payment of the additional percentage donation is entirely voluntary, so if you prefer to pay the standard admission please advise our reception staff at the till point.

Please note...

Parking charge of £4 for cars, National Trust members free with a car sticker and valid membership card.

Prices are for a combined house and garden ticket. The house is sometimes closed for private events so please check the opening times before you visit.

Meeting point
Father Christmas will be in his barn in the stable yard and one of his helpers will greet you when it's time to hear his fairy tale
What to bring and wear
Wear warm clothing and all festive hats or reindeer antlers are welcome
Accessibility
Child to be accompanied by maximum of two adults due to space in the barn. Accessible for all, blue badge parking available - please ask a member of the welcome team for directions.
Other
If you are buying tickets by phone the box office is open 7 days a week, Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am - 4pm. Please note this is a group family experience and not a 1:1 with Father Christmas. Each child will go home with a present.
