About Barn Owl Loft

Barn Owl Loft occupies the east wing upper floors of the Grade II listed Itteringham Manor. This cosy apartment is the perfect romantic retreat for two and retains a great deal of character including exposed beams in both the main apartment area and the double bedroom. It has its own shrub filled garden and overlooks meadows and across rolling farmland.  

Experience life in a Georgian manor with all the benefits of modern facilities. Take advantage of your central location and explore the village of Itteringham with its community run village shop, café and award winning pub. 

Just half an hour by car is the cathedral city of Norwich. This exquisite medieval city, has a flourishing arts, music and cultural scene, independent as well as high street shopping, lively restaurants and bars.

Parking: Parking for up to 2 cars opposite the building, level surface. 

Garden: Private courtyard garden for guests.

*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.

Please note: Stairs are narrow and winding and very steep with narrow treads, also there are exposed beams and low ceiling angles in the main apartment area.

Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm at this cottage.

Local events: May Bank Holiday Monday a traditional village fayre takes place within the heart of the village of Itteringham.

 In July/August there may be open air concerts held on Blickling park beside the lake, this is likely to result in heavy traffic passing between 4pm to 11pm (Concert dates will be promoted on the Blickling Hall website).

August Bank Holiday Monday Aylsham agricultural show is also held on the park and the local area will be busy all day/evening and possibly over the weekend before for preparation.
