Top of the Gorge festival

Join us for our third visit to the Top of the Gorge this summer, for a festival filled with outdoor adventure, inspirational speakers and plenty of challenges and activities to take part in.

Welcoming campers and day visitors alike, Top of the Gorge festival is a weekend-long carnival of outdoor adventure, entertainment, inspiration and fantastic local food and drink.

The pop-up campsite looks right through the jaws of the gorge towards the Somerset coast, amid the Mendip Hills AONB. Activities include trail running, mountain biking, climbing, caving, walking, archery, food foraging, campfire cooking, star gazing and much more.

The Mendip Hills are famous for trails, crags and caves and Cheddar Gorge is one of England's most iconic and spectacular landscapes. With your support, the National Trust is really proud to care for the north side of this spectacular gorge and we hope that you will enjoy exploring it in a way that suits you. At the festival you can explore the gorge on a running or cylcing challenge, a guided adventure, or completely at your own pace.
