Diamond Jubilee Wood Walk
On this route you get to soak up some of Waddesdon's best bits in the wider estate and in the grounds. Keep an eye out for the Parterre bedding, the Dairy and Pulham Rock grottoes as you go.
Please note that some sections are uneven under foot with moderate gradients both up and downhill, so probably not the best walk for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Please keep dogs on short leads.
Start from the Welcome Pavilion in the Visitor Car Park following the Manor footpath.
Just before the gates you will see our sculptures, the Four Continents. Walk past them and follow the path on your right to the Manor. Please note that in the Winter months the statues will be covered for conservation reasons.
Follow the path round to the right, and when the path forks, take the right turn. You'll catch gorgeous views of the Manor from the south. Carry on along the path until you reach the Manor shop, and turn right to walk to the Powerhouse.
Take the path opposite the Manor shop courtyard, signposted to the Stables. This path is fairly steep so please take care.
The path will take you down to the Stables. Pass the entrance of the Stables and head towards the bus stop, taking the main road to the next path. You will see some Pulham rockwork on your left. Walking past it, follow the path down.
When the path joins the estate road, turn left and follow the road along. The Dairy (private venue) will be on your right, and you will come to an opening with a large wall and our old plant centre. Turn left here and walk so the plant centre is on your right.
Continue along this path until you see the Diamond Jubilee Wood to your right. Please do go in and have a wander around this wood, planted in 2012 to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
You can either follow the same route back to the Visitor Car Park or once you get the main road goes you can follow the road downhill - please be aware this is the road the Shuttle bus uses. Turn right to follow the road along towards the car park.
