About Higher Brownstone Farm

A recently refurbished former farmhouse, set within the grounds of Coleton Fishacre.

With six spacious bedrooms and lots of garden space, this is the perfect place to hold your large group get-together this summer. Set down a quiet country lane and surrounded by fields, its rooms offer countryside views from large Georgian windows. The house even hosts a billiard room with a full-sized billiard table.

Higher Brownstone farm is about a mile from Coleton Fishacre, a 1920s house surrounded by luxuriant gardens. As a guest, you’ll have free access to the estate as well as other National Trust properties along the English Riviera.

Head to Brixham, Paignton or Torqay for some of the most picturesque seaside settings on the South Devon coast. The Dart Estuary is also nearby, where you can take a ferry ride up to the bustling town of Dartmouth.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
