About Boarstall Duck Decoy
The Boarstall Duck Decoy provides a fascinating insight into a rare aspect of British rural life. Once a common sight on rural estates, this invention for catching waterfowl slowly disappeared. Today, there are only a handful remaining.
The decoy at Boarstall is surrounded by beautiful woodland, with an array of spring flowers including a large display of bluebells, and plenty of natural play for the little ones to enjoy. There is an abundance of bird life, with many nesting and feeding sites. The wood is also home to several species of bat.
