Snowdrops walk at Cliveden
From January to mid February, Cliveden’s snowdrop walks reveal carpets of delicate white blooms across the estate, from the Water Garden to the Rose and Long Gardens. Enjoy gentle winter walks and the first signs of spring.

Snowdrops appear at many places on the estate at Cliveden from mid to late winter. As you enter the Water Garden through the Bamboo Gates, discover a dusting of bright, white Galanthus nivalis (the common snowdrop) in the camassia bed. Elsewhere in the Water Garden try spotting various snowdrops in several of the 'Island Beds'.
There are two particular types of snowdrops to spot around the estate. In addition to Galanthus nivalis, G. elwesii is a rather larger and somewhat earlier flowering variety. To spot these, take a walk to the lawn in front of the south entrance into the Rose Garden, the Cascade bank (as you walk down the slope from Blenheim Pavilion towards Canning's Oak) and finally the area outside the Blenheim entrance into the Long Garden.
Snowdrops are generally at their peak in the first half of February (weather dependent).
