We’ve collaborated with family-run paint company, Little Greene, to bring you unique paint colours and wallpapers inspired by the places in our care. Add a splash of colour to your home with these environmentally responsible collections.

Inspired by special places

With colours ranging from a zingy lime to calming turquoise, Little Greene has taken inspiration from historic buildings to develop a range of contemporary colours and wallpapers with a twist. All of their paint is environmentally friendly and made in the UK.

Little Greene experts have travelled to places in our care across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to research their collections. They looked at everything from the colour of historic wallpaper and furniture, to artwork, artefacts and clothing.

National Trust Papers III

Our latest collaboration with Little Greene is inspired by 200 years of decoration. With 45 different colourways, this collection pays homage to original materials found in historic houses. From Walter Crane’s storybook illustrations at Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk, to Voysey’s scrolling floral designs at Newark Park in Gloucestershire, these intricate prints are filled with history. Browse the range to bring your home to life while supporting our vital conservation work.

Supporting conservation

A contribution from the sale of every tin of paint and roll of wallpaper will go towards our conservation work, ensuring the nation's historic houses, gardens and open spaces can be enjoyed for generations to come.

Just as we care for and preserve special places, Little Greene share the same values as custodians of historic decoration. The company finds, reformulates and creates original paint colours and recipes. Working with Little Greene has provided a unique opportunity to redecorate rooms with authentic colours in some of the places we care for.

Bringing our places back to life

Little Greene supports our conservation and restoration programme by donating paints to bring colour and life back to some of the nation's much-loved properties. Most recently, Little Greene have worked with our curatorial teams to match original colour schemes and provide paint for restoration projects at Dyrham Park, Cliveden and Allan Bank.
