Banbury and District Association

Visitors in the garden at Chastleton House, Oxfordshire

Banbury and District National Trust Association was founded in 1979. It currently has a large membership which comes from Banbury and surrounding villages - an area popularly known as Banburyshire.

To join you must be a member of the National Trust or an affiliated organisation such as the National Trust for Scotland or a National Trust volunteer.

Our objectives are to:

  •     Promote the National Trust locally
  •     Raise funds in its support
  •     Arrange a programme of events and activities to enrich members’ understanding of its work

Many of our members volunteer their time to support the National Trust at Upton House & Gardens and other local properties.

In summer we arrange day trips, short-break holidays and occasional social and fund-raising events. All these activities provide the opportunity for members to socialise with like-minded people.
