Tis the season to be jolly…in Northern Ireland

Celebrate the festive season and enjoy the magic of Christmas with us. There are Christmas carols, markets and craft fairs and the chance to say hello to a very special visitor, Father Christmas. Our cafés and tea-rooms will be serving mince pies and other seasonal goodies, and you can pop into the shop for some Christmas shopping. We’ve got Christmas all wrapped up with a bumper list of things to see and do.

Festive film fun

Enjoy a special film screening at Rowallane Garden to get all the family in the festive spirit (21, 22, 28, 29 November). Saturday showing 11am and 2pm; Sunday showing 2pm.

Markets and fairs

Stock up on seasonal goodies at The Argory Christmas Fair (5-6 December) and the Rowallane Yuletide Market (12-13 December). Browse dozens of craft and food stalls, enjoy festive entertainment and soak up the Christmas atmosphere.

Seasonal songs

Bells are ringing and voices are singing as the Grand Hall at Castle Coole is brought to life with festive music from the Fermanagh Choral Society (4-5 December). Booking is essential - contact Castle Coole on 028 6634 8249.

Father Christmas stops here

Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a visit to the big man himself. Meet Father Christmas when he stops at Castle Ward, Mount Stewart, The Argory and Castle Coole. As Father Christmas is a very busy man please call and book in advance if you want to visit him this festive season.

Gifts galore

If you want gift ideas we’ve got loads. Most of our shops sell great gardening goodies, as well as some stunning local art and crafts, and there’s loads to choose from for foodies too. Remember every purchase made goes towards supporting the Trust’s work as an independent charity looking after special places for ever, for everyone.

Time to unwind

Winter walks

If you have over indulged during the holidays why not walk off some of those Christmas calories with a winter walk. A breath of fresh air can blow away the cobwebs, so grab your earmuffs, wrap the kids up in their woollies and visit your favourite National Trust place.
