Stay in this charming farmhouse style cottage attached to the 15th-century gatehouse on Holnicote Estate. The cottage’s Grade II listed inglenook fireplace has been preserved, while modern furnishings and a log burner have been added for a comfortable stay. There is an enclosed garden at the front, with a BBQ and outdoor seating – perfect for alfresco dining in the summer.
A fantastic place for walking, horse riding and cycling, Holnicote has 150 miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore. Walk up to Dunkery Beacon, Somerset’s highest point and a spectacular spot for stargazing, or take a leisurely stroll to Bossington and enjoy a picnic on the beach.
Further afield, you could visit Dunster Castle, an ancient castle with dramatic vistas and subtropical gardens. Or you could hop aboard the West Somerset Railway and take a nostalgic ride through the countryside on the heritage steam train.

WIFI: We’re pleased to provide free WiFi access at this accommodation which is supported by BT. Please note intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and therefore should not be relied upon.
Children: Suitable for children. Although the gardens are enclosed, the cottage is situated in the estate yard so care should be taken in this area.
Heating: Air source heating included. There are also two wood burners and one electric wood burner.
Logs: This cottage has a woodburner. We’ll lay the first fire for you and supply a few extra logs. More logs are available to purchase when making a booking. The current price will be shown on the payment page.
Shower: There is a shower room on the first floor of the cottage with a walk in shower. There is also a shower room in the external building with a walk in shower and toilet.
Television: A television and DVD player are provided
Parking: There is plenty of parking directly outside the cottage.
Garden: The cottage has an enclosed garden to the front of the cottage with a built in barbecue and covered seating area. There is a larger, enclosed garden to the side of the property as well with outdoor seating.
Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm.
