About Coppice Blue and Pink Heathers
A range of coppice and scrub based tasks.Help out At Hinton Ampner and Selborne Common with a range of conservation tasks that include scrub removal, glade creation, the widening of woodland rides and the restoration of a coppice rotation situated in an ancient woodland rich with bluebells. Other tasks include removing invasive species on heathlands, the restoration of wood pasture and grassland habitats, with further upkeep of the access to these sites. These tasks contribute greatly to the necessary improvement of habitats vital for a wide variety of native wildlife.
About the accommodation
Situated in a lovely rural location, but near the small market town of Haslemere, the bunkhouse is a countryside retreat on the edge of the South Downs National Park, with easy access to railway and road links to London and beyond. Situated on Swan Barn Farm surrounded by ancient meadows, woodland and orchards, this recently refurbished building has a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge complete with a wood-burning stove. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit and relax in as well as a barbecue area.
Facilities: garden, drying room, open fire/woodburner, washing machine, tumble dryer, pay phone.
Bedding: Only mattress covers provided.
