About Footpaths of SnowdoniaExplore and maintain Snowdonia's footpaths.
Help the rangers to repair and maintain the footpaths of Snowdonia when you sign up to this break based near Llyn Gwynant in the Nant Gwynant valley, a dramatic and beautiful valley in Wales with its northern slopes rising to Mount Snowdon. Throughout the break, you’ll be given a taste of the different tasks involved in footpath maintenance.
You’ll spend a couple of days out and about helping to repair and renovate footpaths at National Trust places like Craflwyn and Beddgelert. There will be a range of tasks to do which you’ll complete working alongside staff and other volunteers to tidy up any winter debris and maintain the footpath network for walkers. The jobs on offer are varied and the mountainous backdrop is spectacular, so you’ll get a real sense of satisfaction.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to down tools for a while and explore the mountains to experience the stunning views the area is famous for. When you get time off you’ll find historic walks all around the Welsh uplands to enjoy and discover, from old drover’s roads to historic buildings and ancient woodland.
