About Pond Clearing and Fence Removal

A helping hand for landscape, wildlife and nature.

The National Trust has looked after Arlington Court and the ever-changing scenery of the wider estate - with its 20 miles of footpaths, wild deer and lesser horseshoe bats - for 70 years. The formal gardens are no exception either, and each year the team of gardeners put on a brilliant display of flowers in the Victorian garden as well as fruit and veggies in the walled kitchen garden.
Join our gardening and ranger teams for this holiday to work in the formal gardens, the pleasure grounds and park surrounding the house, and across the wider estate where you’ll find peaceful paths and wooded valleys. The pleasure grounds have planting designed to frame a series of views and we’re also adding 7,000 trees to improve the woodlands (and the wildlife that they are home to) as well.
During the week, you’ll spend time clearing weeds from a formal pond as well as helping remove some old fencing from woodland edges. Both jobs will have a beneficial impact on the landscape while also helping wildlife to thrive.

About the accommodation

If you want to venture a little further, there is a delightful country pub a short walk away. The views of the coast and surrounding countryside are dramatic and spectacular.
