About Ranger for a weekend
Discover what it’s like to be a ranger at Cliveden.Join the ranger team for the weekend to help with seasonal conservation and maintenance projects. With almost half a million visitors every year, there’s always plenty to do, and the team are very busy, looking after 300 acres of woodland, miles of paths and the vibrant, wildlife-filled banks of the River Thames.
On the Sunday afternoon there’s a guided walk, where you’ll be given an insight into the management of the whole estate and what it’s like to work there. For the weekend as a whole, you’ll need sturdy footwear, comfortable weather-proof clothing and a readiness to get physically active in the ‘green gym’!

The kitchen has been recently refitted and outside there is a lovely seating area. The wild fallow deer are regularly seen on the lawn outside the bunkhouse. There is no mobile signal in the bunkhouse but you should find some with a short walk into the nearby woods.
