About Scrumping and cider making at Swan Barn Farm
Bring in the harvest at Swan Barn Farm, making apple juice and cider with a traditional scratter and press.Come and learn how to make your own cider at the Swan Barn Farm Orchard Restoration Project. You will spend two days working in our small orchards, collecting apples and pears, pressing fruit juice and learning how to make cider. The other three days will be spent working across the wider estate on scrub clearing and construction tasks aimed at restoring habitats for wildlife in this wonderful part of the South Downs National Park.
About the accommodation
Situated in a lovely rural location, but near the small market town of Haslemere, the bunkhouse is a countryside retreat on the edge of the South Downs National Park, with easy access to railway and road links to London and beyond. Situated on Swan Barn Farm surrounded by ancient meadows, woodland and orchards, this recently refurbished building has a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge complete with a wood-burning stove. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit and relax in as well as a barbecue area.
