About Shedding light on the woodland floor
Get hands-on with some traditional woodland coppicing.Experience the serenity of spending a week immersed in a wood on the Slindon Estate, tucked away in the glorious South Downs. You’ll be helping to manage pockets of woodland and create coppicing for both hedging products and wildlife - including the strong (and rather adorable) dormice population.
Enjoy the feeling of working in the quiet, dappled woods with the smell of wood smoke by day, then return to the bunkhouse to warm up by the log burner at night.
