About Walking and working the ridesHelp restore Cliveden’s vistas and historic walks.
Perched high over the River Thames, the Cliveden Estate offers spectacular panoramas of Cliveden house and the Berkshire countryside. However, these glorious views wouldn’t be accessible without the network of footpaths. You’ll work as a team to resurface the paths across the estate to ensure everyone can enjoy the sights. A member of our team will lead a guided walk on Sunday afternoon, offering further insights into the management of the wider estate.
About the accommodation
This bunkhouse provides rustic, basic accommodation which comprises two restored barns located amongst the woodlands and grassland of the Ashridge Estate. The first building comprises two dormitories each containing five sets of bunk beds. The second building contains the kitchen, lounge, toilets, showers and disabled facilities. The kitchen has been recently refitted and outside there is a lovely seating area. The wild fallow deer are regularly seen on the lawn outside the bunkhouse. There is no mobile signal in the bunkhouse but you should find some with a short walk into the nearby woods.
