About Walling and Woodlands
Learn the art of dry-stone walling with instruction from experienced rangers.Spend a couple of days helping us to repair and restore the historic boundaries and learning traditional walling techniques on the Meirionnydd properties. You will be working in some of the most important woodlands in Europe for bryophytes and lichens, and on some of the National Trust's oldest properties. For the remainder of the week we move on to the Ysbyty Estate carrying out a variety of woodland tasks to improve habitats for wildlife, from woodland clearance and brashing to thinning out newly planted plots.
