About Yarncliff LodgeA former estate lodge to the Longshaw Estate in the Peak District, Yarncliff Lodge has been converted to a comfortable holiday cottage which is a perfect base for exploring the local countryside.
Yarncliff Lodge is situated in a beautiful part of the Hope Valley, backing onto Yarncliff Wood and grazing land and just minutes away from the spectacular Padley Gorge where Burbage Brook rushes through this stunning area of ancient woodland.
The village of Grindleford is a short distance away with two lovely country pubs and a small community run shop and tea room.Grindleford Station is also home to the Grindleford Station Café, a firm favourite with walkers which has been owned and run by the same family for over 40 years.
Offering wonderful countryside for outdoor enthusiasts with trails from the door leading to the National Trust’s Longshaw Estate. Climbers will love the challenges presented by the gritstone escarpment Froggatt Edge leading onto Curbar Edge and Baslow Edge. In the autumn wild red deer can be spotted on the surrounding moorlands.
