This traditional campsite on the Pennine Way has endless views and walks for the whole family.

This green campsite is surrounded by countryside and hills below the heather-clad moors of the Kinder plateau. It has all the charm of a traditional campsite, a quiet place for an unplugged holiday immersed in nature. The Pennine Way passes right through the farm and it's easy to set off from the campsite to explore the valley. It's a two-mile walk through the fields to Edale, which has a village shop, cafés and pubs.
Most tent pitches are in one of two car-free fields, surrounded by trees and with scattered pitches. There are a couple of private pitches tucked away by Crowden Brook which flows through the campsite, one for a single small tent and the other for a group of two or three tents. There are grass campervan pitches in the upper camping field, with no electric hook-up. We can accept roof tents on these pitches.

There are marked trails and mapped routes for every kind of walk in the area. From the Snake Pass, follow a circular walk around Kinder Reservoir, or for gritstone rock formations and waterfall Kinder Downfall, head for Kinder Scout, the hghest point in the Peak District. It's not far to iconic Mam Tor - the site of a bronze age hilltop fortress.

You could choose a cottage nestled beneath Mam Tor or a bunkhouse in the Edale Valley.

In a secluded spot with incredible views of the Peak District, this cosy stone cottage is the perfect base for an outdoor adventure.
