Venue hire and functions
Leith Hill Place offers a stunning and unique venue for your special day, whether a wedding reception, special birthday or anniversary or a corporate event. Read on to find out what's on offer.
Nestled in the Surrey Hills, Leith Hill Place offers a unique opportunity to celebrate a special moment of your life in this seventeenth century grade II* listed house. Former occupants of the house include composer Vaughan Williams, Josiah Wedgwood III (grandson of the great potter) and naturalist Charles Darwin was a frequent visitor. In the twentieth century the house became a school and then a boarding house for a local school.
Now the house is in a period of transition as the National Trust seeks to repurpose the empty rooms and find a long term sustainable use for the building. As the house is empty of collection items, it offers a unique chance to hold functions for small groups.
Due to the modest size of the house we suggest a maximum of 60 guests for a sit down meal or 110 people for a stand up buffet. The nearest car park is a 7 minute walk across a field, which can be very muddy. Therefore we advise arranging for your guests to be brought by bus or taxi, adding to the excitement of your event. You'll need to bring in your own caterers, and may need to provide your own furniture.
As the house is still open to the public (Friday to Sunday, March to October) we can only accommodate one weekend function each month, so please do get in touch early to avoid disappointment. Prices for hire vary depending on the number of guests and rooms you would like to use.
