The café and shop at Sutton House
Enjoy free entry to our café, shop and outside spaces – the tranquil courtyard and playful Breakers Yard while the house is open. Our café serves a range of chilled and hot drinks, as well as delicious homemade cakes. In the shop you can browse top selling National Trust favourites and Sutton House souvenirs.
Situated in a contemporary conservatory that joins the original Tudor brick house to an Edwardian extension, our café is the perfect place to relax after seeing the house. On dry days you might prefer to unwind in our peaceful courtyard or take in the surprising Breakers Yard.
The café serves comforting teas, refreshing cold drinks, homebaked cakes, and snacks. As Sutton House café does not currently serve lunches, our visitors are very welcome to bring their own.
The Sutton House shop stocks the best loved products from the National Trust collection, as well as special souvenirs unique to us. Browse classic books, scrumptious preserves, sweet treats, seasonal stationary, cards for every occasion, gifts for imaginative kids, and more.
Our knowledgeable and welcoming Visitor Experience Assistants will be delighted to help you find the perfect gift or souvenir. Every penny spent in our café and shop goes towards looking after this treasured Hackney landmark.
