Introduction to Green Woodworking

Learn the basics of bodging with the Somerset Bodgers.

  • Booking essential

This one day course takes you through the basics of Pole lathe turning and green woodworking.

Starting with an ash log, we split, chop and shave our billet (section of timber) to a cylindrical shape before putting it on to the lathe and using chisels shape it to a finished product.

A garden dibber or solid mallet are favourites for this course. Its more about the process than the product but you will be streets ahead of others when you do your next Bodgers course.

Price: £80 (includes admission to Tyntesfield, all materials, use of tools, and hot drinks)

Over 16s only.
