Regular volunteering
Volunteering with us is a chance to experience the Isle of Wight in a completely new way. Whether you’re out in the countryside, on our estuary, welcoming visitors, caring for gardens, or protecting historic places, whatever you choose, every moment you give makes a real difference.
We provide the guidance and training, you choose when to get involved. Volunteering with us is flexible, rewarding and wonderful way to connect with others from all walks of life. “I volunteer at Newtown Hide because it’s a joy to spend time with like-minded people and share my long-standing passion for birds. I love welcoming newcomers to birding, passing on what I’ve learned, and just as importantly, learning something new myself every time I’m there. It’s friendly, inspiring, and never dull!”
“It’s great to have structure to our week, having a day set aside for volunteering for the NT is perfect. We look forward to our day out, putting on our NT uniform and cap. It still gives us a thrill to drive up the little road leading to the Old and New Batteries. We have learnt a lot about the history of both Batteries, particularly the New Battery - which we are able to pass on to NT visitors."
