Waddesdon Manor is taking a pause on Christmas this year due to the groundworks for its renewable energy system installation. But don't worry! Our teams have been working hard all summer to ensure that Christmas around Bucks, Berks and Oxfordshire is better than ever. Head to Cliveden for an enchanting Christmas adventure as scenes from The Snow Queen come to life across the estate with icicle arches and life-size installations. At Hughenden there's an adventurous Christmas inspired by the awe of Victorian discoveries. At Basildon Park, tune up for all the drama and sparkle of a musicals theme and at Greys Court we're cosying up with beloved childhood books. Also, make sure Claydon is on your list for a visit this Christmas, the North Bucks country house is making a sparkling debut to the festive season with its spectacular House of Bells theme.

Christmas at Cliveden 

20 Nov - 3 Jan.The enchanted world of The Snow Queen comes to Cliveden this Christmas. Follow Gerda’s icy journey through the Water Garden, festive picnic area and to the Sounding Chamber. The story unfolds through immersive visual and sensory experiences and culminates in the magical setting of the Sounding Chamber with sparkling, snow-dusted trees and life-size installations.

28 Nov - 3 Jan. This Christmas, Hughenden is celebrating Victorian discoveries and inviting visitors to explore the globe through the spirit of curiosity, adventure and awe. Visitors will journey through the night sky to distant deserts, dense jungle and deep ocean.

Christmas at Basildon Park 

14 Nov - 3 Jan. This Christmas Basildon Park brings all the magic of musicals to the festive season. Experience an all-singing and dancing world of theatre with sumptuously adorned trees, twinkling lights and beautiful decorations inspired by the stories of famous musicals.

Christmas at Greys Court 

21 Nov - 3 Jan. The stories and characters of beloved childhood literature have spilled off the pages and into the house and gardens of Greys Court. With twinkling lights, lovingly decorated trees and the lingering scent of Christmas baking, visit the warmth of the manor house and work out which stories are on display. Discover immersive worlds in the garden amongst twinkling lights and festive touches. Explorers of all ages will be able to seek out favourite characters and items from the stories hidden amongst the greenery.

Christmas at Stowe Gardens 

15 Nov - 4 Jan. From gingerbread and candy canes to Christmas trees and wreaths, Stowe Gardens takes a closer look at beloved Christmas traditions on a festive journey around the globe. See what the elves have been up to in preparation for the big day at Father Christmas HQ. Add your own tradition to our community wall and then head out into the garden with your festive passport. Make your way around the travel trail learning facts and traditions from around the world, collecting stamps and photo memories along the way.

21 Nov - 3 Jan. Glittering Christmas trees and plenty of festive sparkle awaits you on the ground floor of the house decorated to celebrate the Twelve Days of Christmas. In the gardens, families can get stuck into a fun-packed interactive trail.

Christmas at Claydon 

Something magical is coming to Claydon. This winter, the historic house transforms into a shimmering world of bells, candlelight, and festive wonder. House of Bells is a new Christmas tradition for Buckinghamshire — a multi sensory celebration of sound, light, scent and story designed for all generations. House of Bells is expected to be a popular highlight of the season, and early booking is strongly recommended to secure your Christmas at Claydon.
