Eating and shopping at Longshaw

Enjoy the view with a warming brew at the Longshaw Café, where you’ll find seasonal dishes, hot food, sandwiches, snacks, cakes and a refreshing range of hot and cold drinks served every day. Discover the Book Den, a second-hand bookshop that supports vital conservation work at Longshaw.

A brew with a view at Longshaw Café

The café at Longshaw is open daily from 9:30am, serving a range of hot and cold food and drinks. As well as a welcoming inside space, there is outdoor seating giving you a choice of places to take in Peak District views during your pause for refreshments.

There’s a varied menu to choose from that changes seasonally, including sandwiches, soups, pies and warm bowls. For little ones, there are a range of hot and cold children's meals. The children’s meal deal is ideal to grab and take along on your adventure.

You'll also find homemade cakes, traybakes and local Bluebell Dairy scoop ice cream. Look out for the seasonal Scone of the Month flavours to put a twist on your classic cream tea.

You’ll find a wide variety of drinks on offer including a refreshing cup of tea or a good cup of coffee. There are cold drinks too, including soft drinks, beer, wine and cider.

There are toilets at the café including accessible and baby change facilities which are open during cafe opening hours.

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

The Book Den

There's a cosy Book Den, stacked full of new and second-hand books and a smaller selection in our welcome building near the Woodcroft Car Park. Every book you purchase helps us to look after Longshaw for nature and for people.

We welcome book donations, so if you have any books gathering dust, please bring them along to the Welcome Building.
