For Christmas 2023, we welcome you to explore a traditional Christmas at Uppark. Feel the thrill of glitz and glamour upstairs in the house where we welcome you in with twinkling Christmas trees. Whilst downstairs is all about the hustle and bustle of preparation, think citrussy scents and bottles of champagne...

Christmas at Uppark will return on 7 December 2025

More details will be released in September 2025.

In the mansion house

Follow the festoon lights illuminating the approach to the mansion house before stepping into the entrance hall,  to find a classic Christmas reflecting the history of the mansion and its inhabitants. Tall twinkling christmas trees tower over you as you wonder through enchanting rooms filled with the most sublime decorations.

Imagine yourself back in the 18th century with Sir Matthew and Lady Sarah Fetherstonhaugh as they settle in for Christmas with the family and guests. A rainbow of festive colours greet you, each pallette blending inot the next as you walk from winter wonderland, silvers and whites, to pinks and golds and reds, green and blue.

Around the garden and grounds

Outside, take a gentle stroll around the garden designed by Humphry Repton and through the meadow overlooking the magnificent South Downs, with views out towards the Solent and the Isle of Wight.

In the pre-loved bookshop and café

From classic volumes and colourful children’s tales to modern fiction and vintage treasures, discover something new (to you) to keep or to gift as a Christmas treat to friends or family.

Refuel in the café

After you’ve marvelled at the mansion house and garden, reward yourself with a well-deserved warm brew and delicious seasonal treat from the cosy café.
