Celebrating 50 years of Mompesson House with the National Trust

In 2027, Mompesson House will celebrate 50 years in the care of the National Trust. To mark this milestone, we're creating a special exhibition exploring the history of the house, the people who have shaped it and the memories that make it such a special part of Salisbury's heritage. We'd love your help.
About the project
As part of the exhibition, we'll be shining a light on Denis Martineau, Mompesson House's last private owner, whose gift helped secure the future of this historic house for everyone to enjoy.
But this anniversary isn't just about the building itself. It's also about the generations of people who have visited, lived and worked in Salisbury, and the memories they've made at Mompesson House and across the Cathedral Close.
That's why we're inviting you to help celebrate 50 years of Mompesson House with the National Trust by sharing your memories and experiences. Whether you remember visiting the house, growing up in Salisbury, attending local events or spending time in the Cathedral Close, we'd love to hear from you.
Your contributions will help shape the exhibition and create a lasting record of the people, places and moments that have made Mompesson House an important part of Salisbury life.
