Carolina Cellar boasts stunning sea views from the open plan living area across the inlet with its jewel-coloured water, polished pebbles and rock pools. With the slipway running alongside the cottage, you could not be nearer the sea. For wildlife lovers, wake to the sound of the oyster catchers, watch the cormorant dive for his supper and, if you’re lucky, you might spot a seal.

In a little huddle of seaside cottages at Port Quin, Carolina Cellar sits at the foot of the coastal path to Port Isaac. Take a short drive to Rock and jump on the ferry to the well-known fishing village and foodie hotspot, Padstow. Take to the waves at surfing beach Polzeath, or drive 10 minutes to the winding lanes and white-washed cottages of Port Isaac.

There are three other holiday cottages in Port Quin: Lacombe Cottage (sleeps three), Guy’s Cottage (sleeps six) and Quin Cottage (sleeps three). They can be booked together with Carolina Cellar for up to 14 guests.
