Easter is a great time to get the family together, especially to get outdoors after the long winter months. As we welcome a burst of sunshine and warming temperatures join us at our castles, gardens, coast and countryside places in South Wales for a host of events.

Aberdulais Tin Works and Waterfall 

Whatever the weather this Easter you won’t be disappointed at Aberdulais. Rain only makes the waterfall look and sound even more spectacular. Start off your Easter adventure at the visitor centre, pop by the function room to take part in some of bunny's fun and games, then hunt high and low for the clues, in the nooks and crannies of the ruins, and find your way to a yummy Cadbury chocolate prize at the end.

Dinefwr, Carmarthenshire 

Dinefwr have planned a legendary Easter for you and the family to enjoy. Search for the legendary White Park Cattle and their friends amongst the grounds and parkland. During the Easter period you can also listen to stories from the mabinogion, take a tractor trailer tour and listen to conservation talks in the new Gamekeeper’s office.

Dolaucothi, Carmarthenshire 

Learn about the Legend of Carreg Pumsaint and the five saints at Dolaucothi this Easter. Legends say the nearby village of Pumpsaint was named after these five saints (pump saint). Go on a Cadbury Egg Hunt around Dolaucothi in search of missing saints and more.

Dyffryn Gardens, Vale of Glamorgan 

Calling all budding detectives. Throughout the Easter holiday Dyffryn have set-up a plant hunter’s trail around the gardens. Reginald Cory and other plant hunters have propagated exotic plants from all over the world at Dyffryn. Follow the plant hunters diary extracts and complete tasks to achieve your own legendary plant hunter status. They’ll also have the Cadbury Egg Hunt running over Easter weekend.

Keep an eye out for other events such as guided walks, trackerpack explorer days, 50things Fridays and wildlife bingo.

Llanerchaeron, Ceredigion 

Llanerchaeron have planned a fun-filled family Easter extravaganza for you. Hunt for clues around the estate to claim your Cadbury chocolate prize. Try the egg and spoon races outside the villa, croque-egg on the croquet lawn and hot cross buns in the kitchen. And are you brave enough you to hold a scary beast? Join the rangers for the chance to tick off a few more of the 50 things challenge.

Hop over to the Sugar Loaf this Easter for some nature themed outdoor fun. Follow a trail beneath the summit of the Sugar Loaf and weave through the oak and beech trees on the Cadbury Egg Hunt.
