The cottage is located on a working upland farm, which is the setting of the iconic book 'I bought a Mountain' - a classic tale of life on an upland Welsh farm between the two world wars by Thomas Firbank.

A restored Victorian farmhouse in an outstanding location in central Snowdonia. There are stunning mountain views from here including the Snowdon Horseshoe and Moel Siabod. Built in the early 19th century as part of the Penrhyn Estate, the farmhouse is on a working upland farm and heated by an innovative and low carbon wood-pellet heating system.

Fron Dirion is a secluded 18th-century cottage which is located on a working hill farm near Dolgellau. There is an enclosed garden and superb views up the valley. It was once used as a base for fishing trips in the 50s and 60s; drawing of a trout can be seen on the wall as you enter the cottage.
