Volunteer at Swan Barn Farm

Three volunteers stard in a woodland huddled round a white sweep net examining the contents for insects

If you love the outdoors and have some time to spare why not join our team of volunteers. It’s a great way to make new friends, enjoy the fresh air and learn new skills. We have a regular Wednesday group working holiday and other groups throughout the year.

What our volunteers get up to

Our volunteers help us with a range of activities including:

  • scrub bashing
  • Green woodwork
  • monitoring local wildlife, such as butterfly, dormouse or botany surveys
  • seasonal charcoal burns
  • and much much more
