Discover a range of seasonal and locally sourced treats on sale in The Stables shop or browse in the second-hand bookshop. With all profits going back into the conservation of Wimpole, your spending can be guilt-free.

The shop at Wimpole

The shopping hub at The Stables has a wide selection of products including books, ceramics, toiletries, bags and jewellery.

Local produce

The pantry area, within the shop, stocks apple juice made from apples grown at Wimpole and surplus produce from the walled garden.

Gardening

The shop also stocks a great range of gardening gifts, ceramics and sculptures, as well as a wide and varied selection of plants.

Toys

You'll find a great selection of traditional toys, gifts and souvenirs for children, from pocket money goodies, to special Christmas or birthday treats.

The second-hand bookshop

Run by a team of volunteers, the second-hand bookshop is stocked with a wide range of books to suit everybody. As opening times vary, to avoid disappointment, please call ahead on 01223 206017 if you wish to visit the bookshop specifically.

When it's closed, there are tables outside stocked with books for you to browse, and you can pay in the shop opposite.

Bookshop donations

We're very grateful for all the book donations and we also accept jigsaws. Please drop off your donations at Hardwicke Gate.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept the following items:

  • Multi-volume encyclopaedias, for example: Encyclopaedia Britannica
  • Vinyl records
  • CDs, DVDs and videos
  • Magazines/periodicals.

All bookshop donations help to raise money for conservation projects all around the estate.

Thank you

It is through your purchases and support that we are able to continue to care for nature, beauty and history for everyone, for ever.
