Immerse yourself in the Regency story of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King at Mompesson House. Christmas at Mompesson starts on Friday 20 November and runs until Tuesday 22 December, Friday - Tuesday, 11am-3.30pm (last entry at 3pm).

Dive into the world of the Nutcracker and the Mouse King this Christmas at Mompesson House. Watch out for the mice and toy soldiers battling over the Christmas tree in the Large Drawing Room; get cosy in the alpine forest in the Green Room and don't forget to look out for the Nutcracker himself.
Christmas at Mompesson is suitable for all ages. There is a free children's spotter trail and our North East Bedroom tells the history of Mompesson House and its inhabitants.
The tea-room and second-hand bookshop will be open as usual at Mompesson this Christmas. After exploring the house, enjoy a hot drink and a festive treat in the tea-room. Light lunches are available including warming soup, toasted sandwiches and a savoury cheese tea. Pop into the festively decorated second-hand bookshop for Christmas gifts for family and friends.

There is seating available throughout the house for visitors. Christmas at Mompesson includes two of the rooms upstairs and the Library which has a step to get into the room. A video of these rooms will be available in the Entrance Hall as well as printed information about how these spaces have been decorated.

Join us in moving through a Regency year in the social calendar, from the Portmans family's return to Mompesson House in the spring, to their plans for a summer ball, and finally closing up the house again as they leave for the country in the winter.
