Cycling at Wallington

Cycling at Wallington, Northumberland

Explore Wallington on two wheels on the Dragon cycle trail, which has been designed with beginners and little legs in mind.

This safe, entry level trail is the ideal way to get out and about on the wider estate and enjoy spotting wildlife and far reaching views across Northumberland.

Choose one of two routes, an easy 1.5km Green route, perfect for little legs, or a more challenging, but still family-friendly, 4.5km Blue route.

The Blue route will take you out to Broom House Farm and beyond, exploring farm and woodland. Climb Coombe hill (otherwise known as the Dragon's teeth) to enjoy far reaching views across Northumberland and take a breather at the picnic spot en route.  You might even spot a deer or two on the exciting ride downhill through the woods (nicknamed the Dragon's Tail).

Both routes will send you pedalling down to the West wood where you can stop off at the wildlife hide to see if you can spot a red squirrel and finish at the new Dragon Kiosk for some welcome refreshment and easy access to the adventure playgrounds.
