Summer holiday activities at Bodiam Castle

This summer we've got some new activities for the family. We'll be concentrating on medieval warfare with the chance to see what life was like in the castle during the Hundred Years' War with trails and activities. Our medieval re-enactors will be back at the end of August and offering the chance for children to sign up to our Castle boot camp. With have-a-go archery and falconry walks the whole family can immerse themselves in the Middle Ages.

We're looking forward to summer

Summer is a great time to visit Bodiam Castle.  With the blue sky above and a clear reflection in the moat below the castle is at its best.

Take a look at medieval warfare

Throughout the holidays, explore what life was like in a medieval castle during the Hundred Years' War. We'll have trails and activities for the kids and, from Monday 21 to Monday 28 August, our medieval re-enactors will be here to demonstrate the military might of medieval England.

On Bank Holiday Monday, 28 August, we will put medieval metal and bowmen to the test. We'll set up a newly made breastplate against the drawing power of the medieval crossbow and longbow.
