Storytelling with Father Christmas at Stourhead
The jolly man in red has stories and presents for all the boys and girls this Christmas.
This event has now sold out for 2019
Is there any better feeling than cosying up for a festive story with family at Christmas time?
The excitement is building at Stourhead and we can’t wait to welcome Father Christmas back for his special storytelling sessions on weekends in December.
The magical tale of a gang of woodland friends and their special Christmas surprise, set in a snow-covered Stourhead on Christmas Eve, will delight audiences young and old. All told, of course by the ‘real’ Father Christmas and helpers in his special woodland grotto beneath the mansion house.
The experience kicks off with a sensory Christmas craft – biscuit decorating – in one of our enchanting stable buildings. When Father Christmas has finished his nap and is ready to greet his guests, the group will make their way to the house in style astride their hobby reindeer, jingling as they go with Father Christmas’s helpers leading the way.
Following the storytelling session with Father Christmas, in his magical woodland hideout, there’s a chance to take photos with the big man himself and children will each receive a gift to treasure.
Tickets cost £9 per child plus normal admission and you can book your place online. Early booking is recommended for this popular event. It’s a perfect festive holiday treat for children of all ages, and a wonderful way for the whole family to make lasting memories in a spectacular setting.
