Built from local stone, 89 Church Lawn stands at the entrance to the garden of Stourhead. The cottage has views over to the village church and a private garden, and inside you’ll find original features such as floral embellished fireplace and flagstone floors.

You'll have free entry to Stourhead and other National Trust places during opening hours while you stay at the cottage. Stourhead House was one of the the first grand Palladian-style villas to be built in England and has a landscaped garden that has been described as 'a living work of art'. You might recognise the garden from the 2005 production of Pride and Prejudice, where the Temple of Apollo, set above Stourhead's tranquil lake, was used as the location for Mr Darcy’s first proposal to Lizzie.

The medieval city of Salisbury and picturesque Bath are both less than an hour's drive from the cottage. Other places to visit include Stonehenge, Montacute House and Lytes Carey.
