The Vyne Reservoir Project

Project
A view of the bridge on The Vyne's lake due to undergo compliance work to reduce flood risk.

Redesigning the main bridge to manage flood risk, this project will ensure we’re compliant with new regulations from the Environment Agency.

The amount of water we hold in our garden now means we are classified as having a reservoir rather than a lake. To make the reservoir comply with standards of flood risk management we need to carry out essential work to the drainage system under the bridge. This will involve removing the current concrete spillway and replacing it with an extended curved one. Alongside this work we will also be renovating our bridge and pathways.

As we carry out this essential work, you can read the latest updates in this project timeline.
