Fill your boots or grab light snacks in the atmospheric 17th-century Brewhouse.

Browse seasonally inspired gifts in the shop. You might even find a rare copy of your favourite novel tucked away in the second-hand bookshop in the house.

The Brewhouse tea-room

Stepping over the threshold, we’ve got hearty one-pots and steaming soups to help you refuel. Alternatively, you can enjoy a sandwich followed by a delicious home-baked cake or cream tea with a fluffy scone, jam, clotted cream and a hot drink. Seating is available inside or in the tea-garden.

The original oak beams and stonework can still be seen inside the 17th-century brewhouse, where hops grown on the estate were made into ale. The cosy interior creates a relaxing place for you to relax after a walk in the woodlands or tour of the house.

Other food outlets

The kiosk is located in the tea garden, this serves hot and cold drinks and snacks. The Snack Shack is located by Visitor Reception, this serves hot and cold drinks and snacks.

Catering for families

Children's lunch boxes are available. Highchairs are available on request and a microwave is located in the ground floor seating area for warming milk. As the tea-room is rather snug, we kindly ask that you leave buggies and pushchairs outside.

History of The Vyne

The Vyne was once one of the most important Tudor houses in Hampshire. For over 500 years, it was owned and shaped by just two families, the Sandys and the Chutes. Each generation enriched the property, resulting in an incredible collection and range of architecture and interiors, demonstrating the highest quality in design and craftsmanship.
