Summer of Play

23 Jul - 13 Sep | 10am-5pm

This summer, the whole family can enjoy games and activities together in The Vyne's gardens. Young adventurers can dive into six fun challenges. Create your own show at the stage and dress up box, have fun inventing your own percussion beats at the music station and challenge the family to a hilarious sack race. Use your imagination to create stories, try not to topple the Jenga and hone your skills on balance beams.

Play area

Little ones can explore the outdoors in the natural play area created especially for very young children just off the Lime Avenue.

If it rains, you can head to the:

  • gift shop
  • Brewhouse tea-room (for a hot chocolate)
  • house

- and show the kids a secret Tudor peephole concealed in the panelling of The Study on the ground floor.

- There's also a very young, slim Henry VIII depicted in the chapel stained-glass windows.

- On the ground floor there's a second hand bookshop with a cushioned bay window where you can sit and read books.
